During those times, do you feel dejected and lost faith in yourself or do you think that whenever I plan things do not work out, so I better do not plan? If this is what you feel, do not worry. It may be necessary for you to change an old habit and acquire a new one. You are a late riser. Your service schedule demands that you are to get up early. You may be a writer. Your busy day schedule does not give you much time for writing. You wish to rise at 4.00 a.m. You have some health problems. You have been instructed to do yoga early in the morning. In such situations, you do Yoga-Nidra with the following sankalpa.

 “I will get up early, at 4.00 a.m.”

To Build Up Courage During The Period of Bad Days

You have lost your job. You have been ruined in business. Somebody, very near and dear, has expired. You are about to collapse in anxiety and sorrows. You want to live. You want to build up the courage to get over the bad days. Do yoga-nidra with the following sankalpa:

     “I must build up the courage to fight the darkness of the night, to see the morning.”

To Develop Satisfaction In The Availing Conditions

You had the ambition to become an administrative officer, a doctor, an engineer, a successful politician or an industrialist. Your ambition could not be fulfilled in spite of your sincere efforts. You are dissatisfied and frustrated. In the mental state of despair and frustration, you live an agonizing life. To get rid of your mental agony, practice yoga-nidra with the following sankalpa

   “I have the capacity to live a meaningful life with full satisfaction.”

To Surrender To God

Ignore if you are an atheist.

You are feeling insecure. You are afraid of probable accidents, calamities, dangers from enemies and criminals, fatal diseases such as heart attack and cancer and death. You are apprehensive of property-loss, business0failure or political downfall. Your mind is constantly agitated with conflicts and apprehensions. You long for peace and tranquillity of mind. You yearn for solace. Practice Yoga-Nidra with the following sankalpa.

“I surrender to God. He takes care of me.”

To Develop Will Power

Positive ThoughtsYou have immense potentialities. You are not conscious of your intrinsic abilities. You feel diffident and helpless. You have developed an inferiority complex. You do not have self-confidence. You have a feeling that nothing can be done by you. You believe that others can beat you and that you cannot compete with them. You have a false notion that you are useless and incapable of doing anything. Practice yoga-nidra to develop your will power with any or all of the following sankalpas.

“I can do anything that can be done by others.”

“I have the will, the power, the competence to get success.”

“My will-power is improving to reach the summit.”

If you lose the confidence to speak in a public meeting or to act in a drama due to stage fright, you may be specific in phrasing your sankalpa which may be as follows:

   Positive Thoughts

“I can speak fearlessly and confidently with success.”

“I can act fearlessly and confidently with success.”

If you are a sales promotion executive and have diffidence in conversation, you may adopt the following sankalpa

 “I can speak fluently in favor of my products to fully influence my customers.”

To Improve One’s Vitality

You may be lacking in vitality. You may be debilitated. You may lack in physical and mental strength. After a prolonged illness, you may be convalescing. You are to collect prana from the cosmic source of prana and store in the chakras of your subtle body, your storage batteries. To improve your vitality, practice yoga-nidra using the following sankalpa.

    “I am collecting prana, storing it in my body. I am becoming vitally stronger.”
